Why Does My Shift Agreement Show My Name Instead of My Corporation or Business Name?

Why Does My Shift Agreement Show My Name Instead of My Corporation or Business Name?

Overview

Some healthcare professionals who operate through a corporation, professional corporation, or other business entity may notice that their personal name appears on Relief Buddy shift agreements instead of their company name.

This is expected and is done intentionally to ensure clarity regarding who is providing the professional services associated with the shift.

Why Is My Name Listed?

Relief Buddy shift agreements are designed to identify the licensed or registered healthcare professional who is personally providing services during the shift.

When a healthcare organization books a professional through Relief Buddy, they are selecting a specific individual based on their qualifications, credentials, experience, and availability. As a result, the agreement references the individual providing the services.

What About My Corporation or Business?

Many healthcare professionals choose to receive payment through a corporation, professional corporation, or other business entity.

The payment arrangement does not change who is providing the professional services. The individual professional remains responsible for delivering the services associated with the shift, which is why their name appears on the agreement.

Does This Affect How I Am Paid?

No.

If your Relief Buddy account is configured to receive payment through your corporation or business entity, payments will continue to be processed according to the payment information associated with your account.

Is This Normal?

Yes.

It is common for service agreements in healthcare and other regulated professions to identify the individual licensed or registered professional providing the services, even when payment is directed to a corporation or business entity.
