# Why Can't I Upload My ID / Profile Photos During Registration? (Android)

## Set your camera app to save photos in JPEG format or convert HEIC files to JPG before uploading

To ensure your photos are uploaded as JPGs on Android, you can either set your camera app to save photos in JPEG format or convert HEIC files to JPG before uploading.

 

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1\. Set Camera to Save as JPEG:

**Open your Camera app.** 

 

**Go to Settings:** Look for a gear icon or a settings button, usually in the top left or right corner. 

**Find "Save pictures as" or "Picture format":** Look for options related to image format or saving settings. 

**Select JPEG:** Choose "JPEG" or "JPG" from the available options. 

  

2\. Convert HEIC to JPG (If needed):

**HEIC vs. JPG:**

Some Android phones, especially newer models, might save photos in the HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format) format, while great for photo editing and local storage, it's not as universally supported as JPEG/JPG.

 

**Convert Before Uploading:**

If you need to upload HEIC photos convert them to JPG before uploading. 

 

**Check File Extension:**

After conversion, make sure the file extension is ".jpg" or ".jpeg
